How to use this Substack as your new Personal Financial Coach
Money will move in and out of our possession. Our lives demand it. No one is an exception to this.
The issue is that most of us neglect to pay attention to it. For example, you might have a budget. But don’t actually budget (that was me). Or maybe you’ve thought about a money plan, but haven’t actually designed and started that plan.
That’s where Financial Coaching comes in.
Odds are, you’ve never even considered financial coaches exist, so I know getting one can’t be top of mind.
Here’s what you need to know…
I know what you’ve been silently asking yourself:
“I just got my first real job. What do I do with these paychecks?”
“Budgeting doesn’t sound that simple. Or realistic. Or fun. What do I do?”
“I’m making money now, but why do I feel behind?”
“What does it mean to be responsible with money?”
Answering these questions for you is why this Substack exists. We’re here to be your coach. To help you through your plan. And to get moving.

My steps are designed to guide you through a process to start, dream, design, and then activate a life that is in control of your money.
Here’s a little secret before you dive in…
This type of work is a lot less about money and more about life. This is about you gaining quiet confidence. It’s about eliminating money as a stressor.
This is really a process of system development. When you make a decision to get organized and activate a system that runs mostly on automatic, you can do the more important thing that is living your life and paying attention to people around you. We’re not here only to build big bank accounts. We’re here to make progress in such a way that allows us to be a blessing to our own neighborhood of people.
And that takes wisely approaching our resources to do that.
Now to begin building your system.
Every part of the process is outlined below. Wherever you find yourself right now, simply click that step and find everything you need to move through that portion of your financial development. I’d encourage most to start at the beginning and complete the process in order. It’s constructed to help you do more than to open accounts, save, and invest. It will help you build and activate a system your money operates within.

Build your budget first and get it working before doing anything else. Start here, especially if you’re just beginning in your financial journey. Everything in this section is related to budgeting. And that’s what you need as your first priority.
Now that you have a working budget based on what life actually looks like right now, invest some time to reflect on why building wealth is even worth it. What are your dreams? What does money mean to you? What is your end goal? Define it all. Then begin building your new life on purpose. Find it all here.
Located right in the middle, use this section to follow the wealth building steps:
Bank accounts, saving, investing
You should be able to live your life while your money system runs in the background. Most of us don’t want to spend significant time thinking about our money. You shouldn’t have to. Learn how to automate everything you can, so you can focus on life.
A few good habits will transform you from someone who was never thinking about money to someone who is always on top of it. People that fall off do so because of losing their proximity. Practices that become part of who you are will ensure you stay the course. Learn about those in this section.
The Playbook
Another great way to get step-by-step coaching is to follow The Playbook. It’s design to provide clear guidance, one play at a time, through the process outlined above.
Commit to the work. The effort you put in now will set yourself up for decades of ease with money management.

I’m committed to provide real value for you. My challenge for you is to place enough value on your own growth that you’ll invest in it. It increases your potential of actually doing something with it.
This is all intentionally accessible. But it takes your effort to see progress.
You’ll see a theme here that your money talks. It tells you exactly what you care about. The scripture really is true that says where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
So don’t invest here because you’re serving your money. Invest here because you’re set on pursuing wisdom. You’re committed to good stewardship and leading an impactful life.
So make the investment.
Learn from, contribute to, and glean from the community.
And get to work.

Finding a way
